The HBO original documentary FAYE will debut in 2024 Intimate Portrait of Screen Icon Faye Dunaway to World Premiere at 2024 Cannes Film Festival
Photo by Terry O’Neill/Courtesy of Iconic Images/HBO · HBO Original documentary FAYE, directed and produced by Laurent Bouzereau (HBO’s “Natalie Wood: What’s Left Behind,” “Mamma’s Boy”), will debut on HBO and be available on Max later this year. The film will have its world premiere at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival. Synopsis: In FAYE, the Hollywood legend’s first feature-length documentary, Academy Award-winning actress Faye Dunaway candidly discusses the triumphs and challenges of her illustrious career, with her breakout, Academy Award(R)-nominated role in Bonnie. And Clyde, “Chinatown” and “The Network” — for which she won best actress in 1977 — also reflects on “Mother Dearest,” which she considers a critical career blunder. Through these reflections, she bravely explores personal discoveries, including her struggles with mental health issues and bipolar disorder, her family history growing up in small-town Florida, and how the intensity of the characters she plays still resonates today.
