The Cleveland Browns and Amari Cooper reached an agreement on Tuesday to ensure the star wide receiver will be on the field with his teammates at the start of training camp.<\/p>\n

According to multiple reports, Cooper and the Browns agreed to restructure his contract, fully guaranteeing his $20 million salary for next season.<\/p>\n

NFL insider Jordan Schultz notes that the Browns also increased Brown’s salary by $5 million in the reworked deal.<\/p>\n

Last season was one of the most fruitful and productive in Cooper’s career. In his second season with the Browns, Brown completed a career-high 72 passes for 1,250 yards and five touchdowns, underscoring his importance to Cleveland’s passing game.<\/p>\n

Cleveland acquired Cooper in a blockbuster trade with the Dallas Cowboys before the 2022 season in exchange for just two fifth-round picks, as well as a sixth-round pick in that year’s draft.<\/p>\n

Cooper was looking for a new long-term contract, given that he was previously entering the final year of his contract.<\/p>\n

The wide receiver market exploded this offseason, with Amon-Ra St. Brown, AJ Brown and Justin Jefferson among the receivers who agreed to record contracts, but it looks like Cooper will have to wait for his big payday.<\/p>\n

If Cooper, at age 30, can be as productive in 2024 as he was in 2023, next season with the Browns or as a highly sought-after free agent, he has the potential to cash in on a mega-contract. In the position of the most desired players of the next season.<\/p>\n
