Government offices – Los Angeles City and County, National and State – Courts and Libraries are normally closed for the federal holiday.
Here’s a sample of services that are closed or have changed schedules on July 4:

Garbage: Pickup delays for Los Angeles Sanitation and Environmental Protection customers have been delayed for one day beginning Thursday, July 4th.
