On the Bronx subway, a man was stabbed on the No. 2 train in the Melrose section

Melrose, Bronx (WABC) — Police are investigating after a man was stabbed on a subway train in the Bronx on Wednesday.

Authorities say the stabbing happened just after 3 p.m. at the Jackson Avenue subway station in the Melrose section.

They said the male victim was stabbed on the southbound #2 train.

He was taken to Lincoln Hospital. The condition of the victim is unknown.

No further details have been released at this time.

The investigation is still ongoing.
