News: Legendary coach Greg Schnut passes torch to esteemed successors, ensuring bright future for storied softball organization
It’s a big change for one of the country’s most famous travel ball organizations East Cobb Bullets They announce a significant change in leadership. A legendary coach Greg Schnutwho founded the East Cobb Bullets in 1996, will hand over the reins JD Heath and Andrew White Effective this summer.
Greg Schnut, a name synonymous with sporting excellence, will remain actively involved with the club as a board member and founder. His decision to pass on the leadership torch will ensure that the Bullets legacy will continue to thrive under strong hands.
“JD and Andrew have done so much for our program and the sport of softball. These two are respected people in the softball community. They have won at the highest level, won multiple national championships, and had several teams finish as the #1 ranked team in the US club rankings at the end of the year. They understand the recruiting landscape, have incredible relationships with both college coaches and all national events. Their values and ability to teach and develop these young ladies is what our program continues to demand,” said Schnutte.

JD Heath brings a wealth of experience and passion for nurturing young talent.
“We want to create a program that will help young athletes achieve their dreams and teach them life lessons.” It should be about girls. We want to make sports less expensive for families and be able to provide tremendous value to our coaches, players and parents,” said Heath.

Heath and Biel’s vision for the future includes not only maintaining the high standards set by the Bullets, but also making the sport more affordable and accessible to families, ensuring no talent goes undiscovered due to financial constraints.
Andrew Biele, equally enthusiastic about the future, shared his admiration for Coach Schnute.
“Greg has done so much for the game. He is one of the godfathers of sports, especially here in the Southeast. He should be respected for all he has done for the game and the best way for JD and I to honor him is to help make the Bullets the best organization in the country. All I can say is that no one is going to do more for their coaches and athletes than us. We have some exciting announcements.”
