Mass shooting on Greenway Drive in DeKalb County

At least six people were shot at a home off Greenway Drive in DeKalb County Thursday evening.

Shortly after 9 p.m., officers responded to a home in the 2300 block of Greenway Drive near Emerald Lake Drive after reports of shots fired.

DeKalb County police said they found six men, all with gunshot wounds. Their condition ranged from minor to severe. All were taken to hospital for treatment.

Few details about the shooting have been released as investigators confirm the scene, interview witnesses and search for surveillance video.

Investigators say the shooting started when an argument turned into a shooting.

Although the names of those injured have not been released, police say the youngest was 18 years old.

Neighbors told FOX 5 they heard 40 to 50 gunshots before the massive police response.

The shooting happened in the Emerald Estates subdivision, which is off Snapfinger Drive.
