A commercial vehicle crashed into a Texas DPS office

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) – A commercial vehicle has crashed into a Texas Department of Public Safety office in a rural area west of Houston, seriously injuring several people, the agency said.

Texas DPS officials said in a post on social media X that the crash happened at the agency’s office in Brenham, Texas, which is about 75 miles west of Houston. Officials said there were reports of multiple serious injuries, but did not specify how many people were injured or the extent of the injuries. They also asked people to avoid the area to make way for medical personnel.

“We can confirm that the Texas Rangers are investigating this incident. The suspect has been taken into custody and the public is no longer in danger,” wrote the Texas DPS Southeast Region. post on X.
