TOKYO (Kyodo) – An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.9 struck the Noto area of Ishikawa Prefecture in central Japan on Monday, but no tsunami warning was issued, the Japan Meteorological Agency said.
The 6:31 a.m. earthquake measured 5 on Japan’s 7-point seismic intensity scale in Wajima and Suzu.
