Cops are hunting a hooded stranger who assaulted a 9-year-old Brooklyn girl as she walked to school, cops said Saturday.
The victim was walking downstairs Eighth Ave. 59th st. in Borough Park around 7:45 a.m. Thursday when he was approached by a man in a gray hoodie.
Police said the man went down on the child, ran his hands down her body and touched her privates.
The stranger then ran away, the child, who was not physically injured in the encounter, told police.
Cops scoured the area for surveillance footage until they found pictures of the shopper.
Detectives released the pictures Saturday in hopes someone will recognize him.
Gropper is described as light-skinned, 5-6 to 5-foot-7, with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to call NYPD Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS. All calls will be confidential.
