The 2024 NBA Finals and the NBA Draft flew by in the blink of an eye.
The next trending event of the offseason is here, with free agency beginning on Sunday, June 30. It’s not a particularly deep free agency class, but some superstars have decisions to make.
LeBron James and Paul George are both facing player options with the Lakers and Clippers. James Harden and DeMar DeRozan are both unrestricted free agents who could shake up the league by signing with new teams.
Others, like Pascal Siakam of the Pacers and OG Anunoby of the Knicks, have already made decisions to return to their current franchises.

Jonas Valanciunas signed with the Wizards

The Wizards have reached an agreement with Jonas Valanciuna on a three-year, $30 million contract, according to Wojnarowski. Valanciunas appeared in all 82 games for New Orleans last season and averaged 12.2 points and 8.8 rebounds per game.
Chris Paul headed to San Antonio

Hours after being released by the Warriors, Chris Paul has agreed to a 20th season with the Spurs. The one-year contract is worth 11 million dollars. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Eric Gordon will sign with the 76ers

After spending last season in Phoenix, Eric Gordon is headed to Philadelphia on a one-year, one-game deal. It continues a busy period for the Sixers, who have already reached an agreement with Andre Drummond.
Cade Cunningham continues to negotiate a five-year extension with the Pistons

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope to sign with Magic

The Magic have accepted a three-year commitment from Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, according to Zillgitt. The value of the deal is 66 million dollars ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Caldwell-Pope is a key addition for the Magic, who finished fifth in the East with a 47-35 record in 2023-24. It’s an equally big loss for Denver, which is losing a key contributor for the second straight season.
The Clippers have agreed to deal Kevin Porter Jr.

Porter, who last played for the Rockets in 2022-23, has agreed to a two-year deal with Los Angeles, according to Charania.
In September, Porter was arrested on charges of domestic violence. He was transferred from Houston to Oklahoma City and then declined. In January, Porter reached a plea deal on charges of third-degree reckless assault and second-degree harassment related to his case. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Andre Drummond will join the 76ers

Drummond, who played in Philadelphia through the 2021-22 season, returns to the Sixers on a two-year contract worth north of $10 million. The second year is a player option.
Kevin Love will stay with the Heat

Last season, Love appeared in 55 games for the Heat, averaging 8.8 points and 6.1 rebounds per game. Love will turn 36 in September and is preparing for his 17th NBA season.
James Harden re-signed with the Clippers

According to Charania, Harden is set to re-sign a two-year, $70 million contract with LA.
The Clippers acquired Harden early in the 2023-24 season after his relationship with the 76ers soured. Since settling into his role in LA, Harden led the team with 8.5 assists per game in the regular season and had some big plays during the playoffs.
Pacers move on Obi Taupin

Toppin made a big impact on the Eastern Conference runner-up during the regular season and playoffs. And now he’s getting paid.
According to reports, Topin signed a 4-year contract with the Pacers in the amount of 60 million dollars. Toppin was slated to become a restricted free agent a year later after averaging 10.3 points and 3.9 rebounds in 82 games (28 starts), as well as 10.9 points and 4.4 rebounds per game in 17 playoff appearances. Now he will sign a contract for the 2027-28 season.
OG Anunoby signs extension with Knicks

The Knicks signed Anunobi to a five-year, $212.5 million contract to keep their starting core intact as they look to build a championship contender.

Bridges is reunited with college national championship teammates Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart and Donte DiVincenzo.
Thunder Alex Caruso from the Bulls for Josh Guide

The Thunder and Bulls made their first major trade to signal the start of the season.
Oklahoma City acquired defensive ace Caruso in exchange for 21-year-old star forward Guidey. The Thunder are getting one of the best perimeter defenders in the NBA with a championship pedigree. The Bulls are starting to hit the reset button by acquiring a former top-10 pick with All-Star potential.
Pascal Siakam has signed an extension with the Pacers

The Pacers were not going to allow Siakam to enter free agency from the Eastern Conference finals. Indiana signed their star to a 4-year, $189.5 million max deal.
Siakam is a perfect fit after being traded to the Pacers at the 2024 deadline. He averaged 21.6 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game in his longest playoff streak since 2014.
