24-year-old man fatally shoots in Brooklyn street

A 24-year-old man was shot to death in a car on a Brooklyn street a few blocks from where a man was killed a week ago, police said Sunday.

The latest victim was sitting in a car on E. 54th St. and Church Ave. in East Flatbush when he was shot multiple times in the abdomen around 8:20 p.m. Saturday, cops said.

Medics took the victim to Brookdale University Hospital, but he could not be saved. His name was not immediately released.

The police arrested two persons as persons of interest, one of whom had a gun.

A 24-year-old man was fatally shot in his car on E. 54th St. and on Church Avenue in East Flatbush around 8:20 p.m.

The killing was the third in Brooklyn’s 67th Precinct this month.

On April 20, 40-year-old bodega owner Anthony Lancaster was killed by E. 53 st. and Clarkson Ave.

Three days earlier, Gamaliel Oliver, 45, was taken to Brookdale University Hospital with a fatal gunshot wound to the abdomen. The police later established that he was killed by E. on 98th Street near Lenox Road in East Flatbush about an hour earlier.

District saw jump Homicides this year, with seven homicides through April 21, compared to five during the same period last year. Murders are all over the city It decreased by more than 18% this year compared to the same period last year.
